Payment Policies

Payment Options
You may pay securely over the internet through PayPal* or you may choose to pay via company or personal check, cashier's check, or money order.  Please note that, if you are a new client, payment via PayPal will expedite your project, as verification of payment is instantaneous.

*PayPal allows you various credit and debit card payment options.  It is the simplest, most  secure form of online payment, and is fast and completely free of charge to you.  There is no requirement to “join” PayPal; you simply use your
credit card and are finished in minutes.

New Client Payment

For new clients, pre-payment is required.  After our first project together is satisfactorily completed, you will move into “Current Client” status.  We can send you a PayPal invoice from which to pay, or you may remit by mail.  As soon as your payment has been verified, we will begin work on your project.

Current Client Payment

An invoice will be emailed upon project completion, at the conclusion of each 10 hours of editing time, or at the beginning and middle of each month, whichever occurs first.  Payment is due within two weeks of invoice date.  In the event that an unpaid balance runs past 30 days, 10% interest is accrued.

Minimum Charge

We charge a minimum fee of $38.00.

Refund Policy

By their very nature, editing, proofreading, and writing have subjective elements to them.  If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please let us know immediately, and we will do our utmost to remedy the situation.  If we feel that the problem lies with our service, we will promptly refund your fee.

From James Taylor, Attorney-at-Law
Dallas, TX

“When I started writing my first book, I knew I would need a really sharp editor to work with me and generally pick up the pieces, so to speak.  I am a bankruptcy attorney and know my subject matter backwards and forwards, but I needed help with some of my writing and the book’s organization.  Nancy provided exactly that—and more.  She is not only technically proficient at editing, but she was also extremely helpful when it came to explaining complex legal issues in layman’s terms.”

From Jeremy Baune, Owner of Precision Auto Glass
Denver, CO

“Nancy Hutchins is a real pro. She helped me with my website content and much more, but one of my favorite things she did was the radio ad that was so spot-on, it increased by business almost immediately. She knew how to hit my target audience right between the eyes...or should I say ears?”
